A report of the World Health Organization’s expert Commission argues that women’s health is the foundation for social and economic development in the African Region. Women in Africa represent slightly over 50% of the continent’s human resources and so women’s health has huge implications for both the country and the region’s development.
As an organization, we think women and girls’ health education is still low on all platforms hence the need to carry out campaigns and outreaches aimed at addressing women’s health in local communities. We believe it is crucial that we protect and promote the health of women and girls on the continent –with a focus on quality, affordability and equity to improve overall health and achieve optimum wellbeing for both our current and future generations.
Our campaign creates an opportunity to sensitive women on some crucial health issues and also provides some health intervention and support for women in rural communities.
